I took a chance on this knock-off bracket since the Garmin OEM replacement part was so expensive. There are two important functions for this bracket plus cosmetic finish:br /1. Smooth-secure pivot on ball joint - I rate this 9 out of 10; This is probably the most important function and it performs very well.br /2. Secure attachment of clip into slots of GPS device - I rate this 6 out of 10 - It doesn't clip as snappy as the original but it gets the job done.br /3. Cosmetic finish - I rate this 4 out of 10 - The surface finish is more crude than the original, but who cares. The bracket isn't even visible when the GPS is installed in front of it.br /br /Overall, it's four stars out of five. Don't be worried about this. It will get the job done and you'll save money from the greedy spare parts department at Garmin.br /br /I'm a mechanical engineer, by-the-way.

When I broke my original cradle for my GPS, I found that the only way I could use the GPS was to hold it. I bought this for my 2007 Chevy Cobalt 4D.br /br /The filter has a great built quality to it and looks like it will trap a ton of dirt. It fit perfect in the air filter camber without having to squeeze it in. The outside edges are rubber so it keeps a great seal. I noticed a difference after taking out the stock and inserting this filter. My car felt like it had a little more punch and my MPG on highway went up by 2 to 3. I mostly drive highway, so it's a plus for me.br /br /Keep in mind that this filter must be cleaned at 50,000 miles. Which is a lot but you must buy the filter cleaner which is additional cost. For me, this is still the best way to go. The stock filter cost about this will certainly pay for itself with all the times you would have to replace the stock or cheaper ones.

Though this is a simple air filter, it definately is a strong improvement over the stock cotton-screen which GM installed in my Pontiac G8 GXP.br /br /This air filter certainly provides more airflow and a stronger whine on acceleration. pros:br /handle is REAL nice when traveling for plug/unplug frequentlybr /yellow is easy to see, and it is VERY easy to replace plug with this one.This may seem simple and is with THIS one,but somehow others position the few parts in such a way as to make it difficult. Also some of the others have plastic housing so brittle that it tends to break in the installing process.This one will not.br /br /con:br /only 1 and that is that it will still eventually wear out due to frequent use. The plastic near the prongs becomes brittle from heat and it quits working. Keep in mind that we live in our RV 365 days a year and in all fairness it still way outlasts the others.

No Complaints - Easy Install - Karl Pritchard -
I've only had this for a few weeks, but here are my first impressions: The plastic seems to be less "rugged" than the hard rubber plug it replaced. However, other users have indicated that it holds up well. I haven't let it "bounce" around on the pavement, like the old connector was allowed to do, as I think that the plastic casing may not hold up. The handle is a really handy idea, and I like it.

Nice looking... but non-functional. - C. Carmichael -
It is a good thing I only bought this for appearance sake. My radio reception dropped radically with this antenna. If you are looking for better reception, avoid this product. As an antenna, it only receives the strongest of signals. If you are only interested in making your vehicle look more appealing and do not use your Am/FM tuner... go for it. Installation is a snap. It looks great when standing still but when the car is moving more then 30mph, the antenna bends back from the wind resistance and it is a bit distracting. All in all, it did what I wanted it to but I sacrificed probably half of the radio stations I listen to.
