I replaced the stock filter that comes with my 2007 Nissan Altima with this KN filter. My MPG had started to decline and I knew it was time for a new filter. Using this filter my MPG has gone back up and has even increased one or two MPG's. I wish I would've removed the stock filter the day I bought the car and put this in. Hopefully it lasts as long as they claim it does.

Saves gas, easy to install - G. Persico -
I was skeptical of claims that an air filter could save fuel. However in a carefully controlled test, using average driving conditions my vehicle is averaging 8/10 mile per gallon more. May not sound like much but it is 16 miles per tankful (about 3 round trips to work for me.) Engine seems to run free and climbs better.br /br /

This is a great replacement filter. Lasts the life of the car. It has demonstrated an increase in throttle response. Fuel mileage seems to be the same. You can hear the roar of the V8 a bit better. Highly recommended.

These worked well.br /I bought two, the company shipped them (inadequately packaged), I might add, and one was damaged on arrival.br /I contacted them and they had me take digital pictures.br /They then shipped out a new one, as well as a mailer for the old battery.br /I was very pleased with them.br /br /I didn't know these went bad in about three years; the old ones were almost impossible to remove.br /They had swelled up, and I had to use a screwdriver to prize them out of each UPS.br /So.... replace these after about 2 1/2 years to save yourself some trouble.br /br /The replacements are working fine.br /br /They were very hard to install, as the leads were quite short, but it's abr /poor design on the UPS's part, not the battery manufacturer.

the batterys are expensive compared to what you actually get. - S. Haund -
the tripplite omnivs1000 requires two of these and the cost of two batterys is almost the same as the whole ups. Whay does the ups makers have to make the ups stop functioning completely when the battery dies? It cannot even be used as power strip.

Yeah, its a filter, no noticeable mileage increase, the factory air box is just too jacked up to flow well wnough to get any decent results. Not to mention on my '07 Passat Wagon, the box is an absolute terror to get off the motor, but I'll take that gripe up with VW. Needless to say, I bought a Cold Air kit instead from Neuspeed, the 'wagon chirps through first and second now from a standing start, yeah, blow my mind. Already have gotten a few raised eyebrows for the little bit of money spent. I got nothing aginst KN, as that is what's on my CA intake, but this filter really never gets to realize it's true potential with the garbage airbox VW put on.

I've put a KN air filter into every car I've owned. And I've always been satisfied with the durability and increased gas mileage gained since installation.br /br /This filter is no exception.br /br /The only bad part is that dropping a new filter in my VW GTI is complicated since you need to remove the engine cover. I paid my dealer to do this during a routine service.br /br /VW doesn't recommend this filter -- they use paper filters as OEM -- but I trust the product not to damage the car. So far, so good.

This made an INSTANT improvement. It took two seconds to install and it started being awesome right away. I noticed right away that my computer showed that i was getting 2 mpg better than before the install. I know the car's computer isn't 100% reliable but over the next tanks of gas it showed about 2 mpg improvement so i am extremely happy. Next, the performance side... When i slammed down on the gas it felt distinctly more powerful, so this is a must have easy part for your car, and if you have the additional [...] or so spring for the entire KN kit, but i didn't wanna spend that much so i just got this filter. Hope this helps.

Great KN Filter! I had bought one originally for my Chevy Cav, and had a huge improvement in HP and little bit of gain in mileage. I got this specific one for my 06 Chevy Equinox and its so much better than stock. I get a little bit more hp and about half of a quarter more gas mileage. Definately recommend some better spark plugs to get a good upgrade package. This filter also will not void your cars manufacturer warranty, and needs to be cleaned out every 50,000 miles... I usually clean mine every oil change, with a spray found online or any carstore. Great filter, highly recommend as a started upgrade.

Used this air filter for 8 years cleaning it once. I can't say if the filter contributed to the performance of my 2001 corolla except that in 8 years I didn't have one iota of engine problem and the performance was wonderful. I just installed a new filter in my new Scion Tc and expect to get the same great results. I trust KN.

Fits my '05 Pathfinder fine. I ended up averaging 17.2 mpg in the 2000 miles since I installed it. What was my mileage previously? 17.2 (yup, no change). I probably don't drive in such a way that the engine is airflow limited, hence the relatively good 17.2 to begin with. Still, I'm happy that I don't have throw away relatively expensive disposable filters every so often.

I have several of these on my mustangs. I have one that was put on my 1989 lx 5.0 the day I bought it new still going strong. 20 years of used what can I say????it has payed for itself. If your using the stock air box I'd say go for it!
